My new lad Jax........

As promised following my new member post, here are a few pictures of Jackson (Jax). He has a massive set of paws to fill following the loss of my elderly girl in the summer but i'm pleased to report thusfar he's doing brill, just what I needed.....

He's been dry through the night ever since I brought him home, has only ever had the occasional accident inside, knows how to knock on the front or back door to go out.
As you can see from the last couple of pics he's full of love n kisses and is as soppy and daft as i'd hoped. He's on my lap licking my hands as i'm trying to type this......Happy days my friends, happy days!!!!

Brilliant , he has a massive set of paws but you wouldn't want him taking the memory , just helping you to smile remembering the past. He's a really handsome boy , thanks for the update

Cheers Dave, between his 8 and 10 week jabs he gained 2 kilos in weight, I've had to buy up a size in his harness to go round his girth, he's going to be one very chunky lad I think!!

Btw, you just made me cry again when i re-read that, almost 6 months later and still her memory makes me ball every time I think about it......

Nothing to be ashamed of, as my OH pointed out she has caught me in tears a few times over the dogs , dog stories , dog pics and general dog memories, she can't (and I can't) remember ever crying over her

It's weird but Jax has taken to lying right in the same spot Carla used to, by my feet at the cpu desk, neither of my OH's dogs ever lie here..........
Carla sits on the top shelf of the desk now watching over us all.
I was going to open her ashes and take part of her to scatter at a couple of her favourite spots, but tbh I just cant bring myself to do it so i'm going to leave her whole is her box.

You do what you feel is right Mark. I know I never had a staff until Tilly just knew my cousin's girl and that was the reason for getting Tilly (after we lost our BC X my OH swore we would never get another similar dog as too many memories). Never looked back and apart from the boy BC I grew up with from 4-20 I've never had a bond like this with my dog/s . Most days when I am at home in my office I have Tilly behind me on my chair and Tommy laid at my feet
