today's walk ended with a flop :)

It might sound very obvious, but thought I'd share...

This morning was one very excited Betsy for a few reasons ....the cold makes her a little extra nuts and she was back on doggie contact after a week of only me following a virus.

Well of course Betsy wanted to make up for lost time and as usual but with slightly more vigour or charge really to say hello to all her mates and make some new ones. As there was a doggie we hadn't seen before I had hold of the training lead. Sometimes by turning away after calling her, she'll come. Not today. Before I knew it I was in the air and landed flat of my face Instead of coming to me, Betsy had charged for the dog and flipped all 10stone of me into air. Impressive pull power! I turned to look at Betsy whilst lying in the mud - amazingly I still had hold of the lead and she came over to lick mummy's nose However at this point it was an adventure too many- numerous to mention today and we headed home, a little bruised, but with a smile as she is a silly pup

They are very strong dogs it won't be the last time maybe you get pulled over either. Have a nice bath to soak away the pain

I'm sure it won't be the last time either. Wish I could have a hot bath. Off to work now- feels like I've done a few hours work already!

I shouldn't laugh cos I know karma is gonna get me when it starts getting icy, but... that's hilarious. Ah, silly Betsy. At least she had the good sense to come back and give you an "it's OK" lick

Yes re the lack of sympathy I'm just suprised it took this long to happen- it's been a brewing for ages.

Was very funny though. It was close to a somersault! Fortunately only doggies witnessed

Oooh I'm not looking forward to icy walks either. Might invest in a padded suit or at least wear my padded cycle shorts -as underwear of course in prep for a fall
