Food :)
Hello, just wanted some advice on what i can mix with Marleys food to keep it interesting he is now 4months and a week old, i have been adding some of the juice out of our nightly hot pot dinner which he loves (unlike the bottom smell that comes out after having the vegtable juice ) so what else can i mix with it at his age? x

Re: Food :)
I just cook some pieces of chicken and add this to Rockys kibble. You can either roast it or boil it (we now boil it for him first) then allow it cool, then chop it up. We add about a tablespoon amount to eat meal.

Re: Food :)
If you make the dried liver treats discussed in another thread, the cooking liquor from the liver is tasty. I also add a teaspoon of fish4dogs salmon oil to one of his meals per day.

You can get a decent size pack of lambs or beef liver in Asda for 50p to 80p.
Just pop the liver into some boiling water and cook lightly. ( some people put a little garlic in the water but I don't bother) Drain of the liver and reserve the cooking water. Cut the liver into pieces about half the size of your fingernail and place the pieces on a baking tray and place in the oven at about 130 degrees until dried out. These are great for training treats as they are pure protein and contain very few calories.
Just add a little of the cooking liquid to his kibble.
I alternate between this, sardines, raw egg, cooked chicken, salmon oil etc. even table scraps.
Don't use human stock cubes or granules as they tend to be high in salt.
