Never done it and doubt I ever will. Too many opportunists around that wouldn't think twice about stealing a staff!

Have to say with my local shop or the petrol station where they are in eyesight and I can get out in plenty time to fill the bloke or blokettes face in as they attempt to steal my 2 treasures then yes. But anything more than that is a definite no no

I don't but only because i know the kids walk up to the shop with their off lead dogs (cause they are numpties) and lexi is DA so i don't feel comfortable with it. I leave her in the car though.

my brother leave his dog outside our local shop (he stays nxt st up from me) but i couldn't, don't trust people enough plus Diesel is far too friendly she would annoy every person who walked in/out the shop. My oh usually picks her up and carries her in the shop, but obviously you can't do this in Tesco Laughing
Think its crap we live in a world where you can't trust people enough to leave your dog outside while you go get a loaf of bread! or they should invent a safe way to leave your dog outside...i dunno what like but someone should invent something!

I have done it once, and I was literally in the shop 2 mins and could see Percy from the shop counter....but I didn't like it, Percy is so friendly, he would happily trot of down the street with anyone holding the lead.

He was very well behaved thou and sat watching me through the door. Bless him Love Struck

We do but only outside one shop where we know the owner and his wife likes to go and say hello to Dex while we nip in. I think it definitely depends on whether you can see them still while you get a few things too.

Never would. Loki is too hyperactive and friendly and whiny, and I'd be worried that I didn't have him secured properly. When we go to the shop on the corner of our house, we just take him in with us, the owners love him. He's gone from tiny little puppy carried in, to slightly bigger puppy on a lead jumping up at the counter, to well-behaved bigger puppy who sits there Big Grin

I am not brave enough....from experience! I once took my sisters rather large rhodesian ridgeback to the shop and tied her to the metal walls sign outside as there was no where else. i only needed three items and my sister had assured me all would be fine so imagine my horror when i got to the till and over the tannoy came the following announcement 'can the owner of the large dog and sign please remove them from the magazine isle......mortified was an understatement!

Never have, never will.
I've been warned by ppl in the area to not leave my 2 outside shops/schools etc as far too many dodgy ppl interested in them.

I even take Tank into my sons school playground when I drop him off, have done since Tank was 8wks carrying him in my arms, I've told the school
Nowai am I leaving him tied to the gate.
But I know Tank inside out, everyone at the school adore him etc so I can get away with it. That's villiage communities for ya I guess !

the minute i read ridgeback i knew the story wasnt gonna end well! Lol to be fair least it was just a sign, pretty sure if u'd tied it to a drain pipe it would still have trotted in the shop lol
