Hi & welcome to the forum.
What exactly are you feeding him & how often? What do mean by struggling to go to the toilet? (Don't worry about being graphic - we're always talking about poo on here! )
Whether you let him into your room or on your bed is entirely up to you, but whatever you decide to do, stick with it or you'll confuse him!
I'm afraid he will cry when you leave him alone for a while - he's used to having mum & siblings around him for company, but if you ignore it he'll soon get used to it. Try leaving a night light on, and maybe a radio playing quietly (a talk show station is best, or maybe some relaxing gentle music).

Re: new member...
He should be on 4 meals a day with at least two of those meals meat based (either minced beef or a good quality dry food).
Not every pup likes porridge much, but you can try him on scrambled egg for one of the meals and porridge for another. Then two meals of minced beef or lamb or puppy dry complete. If you choose the dry food, don't buy anything with colours in them (ie Bakers & the like), and avoid supermarkets own brands. Pedigree & Wagg aren't great either.
If you have a Pets at Home (or similar pet store) near you then try one of their own brand dry foods. If you do change food, do it gradually over a week or so to avoid upset tummy!
The change in his home & his food might make his toilet a bit irregular for a couple of days, so be patient with him.

Re: new member...
Welcome only advice I can give is that, if you haven't already, don't close the crate door on him at night yet, just kind of build it up. Close it a couple of seconds while you're in the room, then open it (if he's quiet) and let him out and give him a fuss, and just gradually increase it from there.
