Snow Empty Snow

Post by Dan330 Mon Nov 19 2012, 11:38

Looking at predictions for this winter its quite likley we will get a load of the white stuff December January time. Monty hasn't seen snow yet and I can't wait to see his reaction. I'm just wondering what your dogs first reaction to everything turning white was? Were they scared, excited... did they take some getting used to it?

Suki loves the snow. She went wild the first time she saw it

Dempsey did a few jumps then ignored it.

Now, he'll chase snowballs, but otherwise isn't fussed about it!

Rocky loves playing in the snow. The first year we got him it snowed and we took over to our local park. He played for ages in the tennis courts over there. Last Christmas we bought him a Boomer Ball to play in the snow with and he loved it. Hope we get some more this year day dreaming

Loki hasn't seen any snow yet. To be honest, my main worry is ice. I really REALLY don't want to walk him in the ice Laughing but we'll see. My old Boxer's first reaction to snow with us was to eat it Big Grin

I'm sooo excited to see Percy in the snow Big Grin

Anything soft underfoot (sand, long grass etc) turns him into a loony, so I'm thinking the snow will be the same.....and I love walking in the snow, so have the perfect excuse now Smile

As mentioned above, I'm not looking forward to the ice everywhere thou, I'm already like bambi on ice...with Percy added to that I can imagine I'm gonna spend a lot of time on my bum rolling on the floor

Sophie loved the snow.
Watching her chase snow balls as they disapear into the snow, then try to find them was hilarious.

Diesel was still a babay last winter, she kinda slid about on this ice and fell a few times, poor wee thing but didnt really see much snow! she also seemed to like licking icy puddles and still loves a good ice cube to munch.
Hope it snows more this year, use to love throwing snowballs for my ex's dog and watching him going mental trying to find it Laughing
