Re: So what esle????
I wouldn't want a bull dog - too many health issues. Same, really, with boxers; that and the fact that they drool so much! And mastiffs are way too big for my 5' 2" !!!

Re: So what esle????
I know, would only have a bulldog if I had plenty of cash, and same as you don't really like dogs that drool to much but not all of them are to bad! You have just reminded me of a post I was going to put on... Unless I have already when I've been drunk but don't think I have!!

Re: So what esle????
If staffs didnt exist, it'd be an english mastiff first, newfoundland second, great dane third. I love giant breeds. Staffs are the only thing smaller than a giant breed that I like. I'd consider a boxer too. Caryll, I'm only 5 foot 2 and my hubby is 5 foot 7, we're shorties too

Re: So what esle????
I dont know what I would do if the Staffy was banned or didnt exist but if I had to choose it would be:
GSD
American Bulldog or
Alaskan Malamute
I couldnt have a little yappy thing they do my head in lol it would have to be a big dog but I am the same as Shontelle & Caryll as small bundle of fun lol

Re: So what esle????
If staffies were banned first I would break down and cry but then I would consider having :-
1. Rhodesian Ridgeback
2. Boxer
3. Husky.
Don't do ankle biters 'aggressive' little things I was once attacked on the nose by a Chihuahua!!

What makes you think a Bull Terrier won't kick you out of bed? If a staffy can, then so can a bully!

Re: So what esle????
because i be able to push him/she back i'm not sure i would be able ot do that with a american bulldog
Re: So what esle????
Not sure you'd be able to push a BT back if he didn't wanna move...........definitely wouldn't be able to do it with an american bulldog, though!

Re: So what esle????
If staffies weren't around.. what a sad world it would be.
I like bull terrriers.....cardigan corgis....
beagles and most
mongrels.. as long as they are not too big or small.
Not fussed at all on little fluffy lap dogs.. they are normally aggressive.
Staffies are the perfect size to take in the car etc.. they are just the right size.. very compact!
My last doggie was a samoyd cross corgi... Kimba.. I loved this dog alot. He was great. Had him for 12 years.. he was a wonderful boy.
