Hmph
Bis has just come back from the vets, turns out that she's got fox mange, and there's a lot of it going about at the moment! Poor thing she's so uncomfortable and feeling so sorry for herself
Has anyone had any experience with this? And totally forgot to ask the vet, might be a silly question but is she allowed to go for walks and things still, or is she on house arrest until it's been treated?! Not sure how contagious it is etc, doing some research now! Been given steroids to help with the itching for a few days, fuciderm and advocate every fortnight for 6 weeks!!

Re: Hmph
ivomec.
or the equivalent.....it's sheep drench.
it will clean it up in no time.
get your vet to work out the dosage based on your dogs weight.
edit
as a guide, my boy was about 18kgs & the dose was
3mls daily for seven days
then
6mls daily for seven days
then
8mls daily until finished
you will see an improvement almost straight away. within days.

Re: Hmph
Thank you all! I swear it's stupid to love something this much, literally been in tears just watching her she's so poorly ( The steroids seem to been kicking in though so hopefully she'll be a little more comfortable soon! I'm such a wimp when it comes to my dogs
