puppy Food advice
Hi we got our puppy on sunday, she is 7 weeks on thursday. The breeder she came from has been feeding her BETA dry puppy food and scrambled eggs also sometimes rice pudding, we have been feeding the same since we got her although she seems to be finding it slightly hard to eat the dry puppy food? we are keen to put her on a natural raw diet (barf) so today i tried her on a little bit of boiled rice and mackrel in sunflower oil, she was fine for about a hour then she sicked the whole lot up any ideas why? also advice on the raw diet appreciated thanks.

Re: puppy Food advice
The mackerel could have been a little strong for her. We do have many members and staff who used the raw diet I'm sure they will be along shortly with advice on that one.

Re: puppy Food advice
how long should it normally take until she's on raw fully? and is it ok to do it at this age?

Re: puppy Food advice
My 2 staffs are raw fed. Baileys been on it for a month or so and my pup has been on it since we got her on Saturday! My boy is 14 months and my girl is 8weeks tomorrow and she's been on it for 3 days fine.
I just switched Sierra straight away onto raw and started her on some chicken mince and wings/drumsticks.

Re: puppy Food advice
Thanks how is your 8 week old doing on the raw diet? what sorts of foods are you giving her? minnie has turned her nose up at the dry food and wont it eat at all now! do you think she will be ok to go staright onto the raw diet? we've made some puppy mush up with mince meat veg etc for her, just don't want her getting a bad tummy or anythingStuW wrote:My 2 staffs are raw fed.
