Went training class with my tash earlier, another staffy pup about the same age came out of previous class. Us owners both looked at each other and found out that our pups are littermates. My tash loves other dogs, we introduced them and next thing i know tash is on top of the other puppy and growling. She's never done this before.

Was very scared about introducing her to the other dogs within the group but she was brilliant. any idea why she did this. The other pups owner said she'd read somewhere that they tend to do this.

Feeling very sad, did not like this at all Surprised

Hi I went through the same thing with Steffi Sad She is great with other dogs but she detests her 2 litter brothers.

Maybe this will help..

Maybe she was just playing. But if not, maybe she just didn't like the puppy. I mean, body language in dogs can sometimes be so subtle and quick that it's easy to miss, sometimes it seems like it comes out of nowhere when it doesn't. So if she's great with other dogs, I wouldn't be too worried about it right now.

Litter mates can be like this with each other, thats why it's not advisable to have two puppys from the same litter. I'm sure she will be fine with other dogs, maybe best to keep her on the lead for initial introductions so you have more control.

Glad it helped.. I felt exactly the same when it happened to me, I thought I was in for all kinds of aggression issues.. Thankfully as long as I keep her from her brothers, she seems to be fine, all other dogs we have met of all different breeds and of all ages she has shown no aggression to what so ever.. Even her litter sister she is fine with Surprised strange puppies Laughing

I do think you should also take the advice to always do your introductions to new dogs on the lead, I always do, just in case, at least while they are on lead you have some control over the situation.

Tommy met his litter Sister Maisie a few weeks ago and they wanted to scrap but Tommy is over friendly with most dogs we meet , only other time we have had any kind of problem is if one has growled or barked at Tilly

Pups sometimes don't like their litter mates because they had a very strict order and taking them out of that confuses them and they want to make sure whoever was in charge is still in charge of the tatas.

When we first went to visit Percy at the rescue centre (age 10 weeks) him and his brother tank REALLY didn't like each other, so a few weeks ago when we met up with 2 of Percy's sisters I was a bit worried how they would react to each other....but I needn't of worried, they greeted each other like long lost relatives on 'surprise, surprise' Love Struck

It was sooooo cute ( I was neally crying )

Percy has never shown any aggression to any other dog, even when the other dog has been aggressive, I guess he just didn't like his brother very much lol x
