Them teenagers!

Although we are in mid-summer here, it is overcast and chilly today and Roxy has a serious case of the crazies! On top of that, she spent most of the night in and out of her dog flap running around like a loon (good ol' teenage times!). she normally spends the morning sleeping, but so far today she has hung on her tyre; chased insects and run a marathon. Oh, and she's going through a phase of ripping up her squeeky toys to get to the stuffing and squeekers. She's just gone a bit quiet so it's time to check what she's up to.

Last night she spent over an hour playing with her favourite ball; chasing the broom and had a very brisk walk with training work.

She's off to "dog-tivities" class this weekend where we'll start with clicker training and tricks, so hopefully she will be more stimulated.

We just hope she doesn't think her baby brother's a squeeky toy when he comes home

Oh gotta love em don't we?? In the good and the bad Hope dog-tivities wears her out.. Gorgeous pic too btw We are just in mid spring and I'm dreading summer, too hot in the day and storms in the evening.. It's gonna be a nightmare..

Lots of walks, mental stimulation and patience and the teenage phase passes

Plenty walks and stimulation abound! I think I have more patience than the OH I don't even mind the teenage phase as she is my first dog and I feel like I'm going through it with her!

I know I really shouldn't, but.............

They have boundless energy sometimes, awful when the weather means you can't burn it all off on a good jaunt. Mind you they find a million other ways of 'entertaining' themselves

We will, thanks! she did very well at puppy school and was completely bored with obedience classes! (Why would a staff want to sit and stay when there are so many other puppies to play with?!!?)

Great picture, and to be honest, I've had the same thing with Loki today/last night. He was up at 5:30am jumping around and messing for a while. We love them though hope the dogtivity classes tire her out a bit

Yes! Hope the training goes well. It does help give their minds a great workout. They can drive us all a bit bonkers sometimes...
