Doctor Dexter Empty Doctor Dexter

Post by PygmyParrot Wed Oct 31 2012, 12:39

Our kids all came down with the horrible noro virus thing over the weekend, and yesterday it hit me and Dan hard - was awful but thankfully it's a shortlived little blighter and we are keeping food down today (plus I've had the energy for typing again!) just a bit tired and weak.
My main concern yesterday was Dex being able to have his walks, as we just useless. Managed to get my sister round to take him and do you think he would leave us! He was full of energy and clearly desperate to burn it off but no amount of treats coaxing or anything else would get him out of the door. Bless his heart, he just wanted to lie next to us licking us better. Woke up at 7 today and once I was sure I was ok we had some breakfast and went out for two hours, and extra treats when we got home. I never expected that reaction from him, makes us feel very loved Love Struck

Dogs seem to know.

I came down with the same thing earlier this year and before it had hit me full force I dragged myself into work and the two boys (both collies) wouldn't leave me alone, they knew something was wrong

Well done Doctor Dex

They certainly know when you are ill, glad that you had Doctor Dexter on hand to provide support to you and your family, they have a wonderful bedside manner dont they. Rocky always knows when my hubby is ill, he will curl up by his side on the bed and not leave him. We keep saying about getting him a white coat and a stethoscope. Laughing

Thank you, me too it was bloody awful. So nice to have my energy back a bit today. Although it's raining and Dex won't go for a walk but he's bouncing so it's going to have to be a game of hide and seek for a bit until it knocks off! Doctor Dexter is a weather wuss Laughing

Aaah nice story. Thanks for sharing-warmed me cockles Love Struck
It's a funny world- staffs have this reputation by some which is so wrong. I find them to be incredibly sensitive and of course come with oodles of love.
Betsy has a waggy tail for everyone and when people can't resist and stroke her it's lovely to see the smiles on their faces as she's spread her Betsy love around Love Struck
Glad to hear your feeling better and back to lovely walkies Smile
