My pooch doesn't bark. Literally i can count on two hands the amount of times he has barked. The only time he every barks is if he is in his run in the dark and he can see something i can't. He also doesn't make any noises! Sometimes my hubby gets a bit of a hello out of him but very rarely. I assume i've just got a really quiet dog! He does however cry our cat!

we got our dog partly because we love the breed but also because they are meant to not bark a whole lot. she did go through a phase of barking like crazy when she went to the garden for a pee, but now mostly only barks if she thinks something is not quite right. sometimes she barks to be rude and demanding but she's getting better about that. mostly, she's pretty quiet, just like we read so that could be it.

oh and she does the cutest little growly howl-like thing when she says hello Love Struck

Lexi is quite. I get a cry now and then if i am outside the gate and she can see me, she will bark at the horse some times (but i think he enjoys it cause he stands looking at her) and she barks for about 15mins after she eats (that is her happy time)

hmm....actually shes not very quiet haha

When Dext first did it, my hubby thought he was growling at him! We've never had a dog before and i think we by far made the right choice with breeds. However i wish other people didn't look at me like i have a demon dog! We've hit the teenage stroppy dog at the mo, more so since he came out of kennels 3 wks ago but he isn't aggressive, just overly friendly and likes to jump and play with other dogs!

When Percy found his bark, he used to show off and just randomly bark at nothing for no reason other than to show off his bark I think, so I taught him the 'talk' command and he doesn't bark now unless we ask him to. But he does do the crazy staffy talk, especially when u let him out of his crate in the mornings, it's like he's saved up all his talk during the night and let's it all out in one long funny sound Smile

Makes me giggle every morning Big Grin

My neighbours GSD howl every night. I just close my eyes and imagine i'm in a cabin in the woods with a fire lit and a hunky man at my side day dreaming

Rocky is quiet too, he will only barks when he needs to or if someone is around at night who he hears.

Callie barks only at scary things (usually kitchen tools or other terrifying household objects, not people or other dogs--though she did go nuts at a fox one time).
She growls (low rumbly growl) when she's excited and wants you to play.
She snorts and tosses her head up when she's really excited. Kind of like a horse.
She snores with her eyes wide open when she's happy and relaxed, like in your lap.
She whines by the door to go out.
However, we don't get a lot of staffy talk--which is disappointing Sad

Dex (hello other Dexter! Laughing ) barks when the door goes, and makes the usual array of staffie noises, other than that he is quiet. We haven't heard him cry but when he's anticipating something happening he does a low moaning sigh noise that's barely audible Smile

Loki never shuts up. Seriously: barking, whining, crying, sighing, groaning, screeching, howling, wimpering, practically singing, and something that can only be described as croaking Laughing
