Hi All
Only just getting around to posting in here, despite a couple of hints.
I've been a lurker for a while although not on a regular basis. I mainly joined to post photos of our recent sponsored walk which a few members form here attended and it was great that they took the time out to support us.
I've been involved with Rescue now for about 14-15 years, basically it gives me time with the dogs I'm not in a postion to have. Its also given me experiences which I might never have had otherwise, co-writing a chapter on rescue in Steve Stone's book and also a very nerve wracking day in a recording studio playing the violin as a backing to the CD Jenny's Song to raise funds. It also ignited my hobby of photography and I've produced the rescue calendar for the past however many years......... No idea lost count must be 5 or 6. One of those jack of all trades master of none kind of people.
I've met so many friends through the rescue and I love getting to know the dogs.
Will try and pop by a bit more often but most days there just isn't enough hours to do everything I want to do.
Can't post a photo of my dog as I haven't got one, unless you count all the ones I've had a helping hand in re-homing in which case there's about 2000.

Re: Hi All
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
We (my hubby and I) adopted Rocky from Woodgreen Animal Charity which is a rescue centre in Cambridgeshire nearly 2 years ago, will be at Christmas. We knew straight away it would take a couple of years to get him back to zero so we could then start training him and he is pretty much there now.
Rocky has gone from being one of the hyper dogs in the park to becoming one of the calmest, apart from one exception, a golden retriever who is more horizontal than laid back.
If you send an email to Steve with the rescue centres contact details we can then add you to the list below:

Re: Hi All
Hello and welcome (again ) Andrea from me and the kids. As above the only qualification you need to join the forum is a remote interest in the breed and I would say you qualify well on that score. Great to have you around and hope you use our rehoming section to your advantage.

Re: Hi All
Hi and a big welcome!! I would have said after reading your post that it should read 'Jack of all trades, master of a lot of care for all those rescue dogs'!! Its people like yourself that don't get the recognition and praise for the hard work and commitment that you put in... so well done to you!! It would be lovely to see some pictures of some of the rescue dogs and hear their stories.
