Bloomin' cars
Car one's right-side track rod end has just failed with very little warning - can't drive it until I get some parts tomorrow.
So I dug car two out and it was running fine until I filled up with diesel - now it's mis-firing like mad and runs like the turbo hose has split (it hasn't).
So I've got one car up on ramps minus its wheel and arms, and the other is currently draining the fuel tank.
Neighbour has been and got me a few gallons of clean diesel from elsewhere, so that's waiting to be put in.
Why do cars always fail in pairs?

No idea
My hubby put petrol in our diesel car once, needless to say after I had just spent £50 on it I was a little miffed shall we say

Re: Bloomin' cars
I suspect there may be unleaded in the diesel tank I filled up from earlier, Kathy - doesn't smell like pure diesel now it's draining.
Will be going back to the garage about midnight to find out.

Re: Bloomin' cars
Lol. The diesel car went to the scrapyard in the sky this evening - the cambelt snapped on a busy dual carriageway and me and my foster dog legged it to safety up a bank.
The breakdown man who came out was one of the nicest blokes I've ever met - only young - so I gave him the car for free as he has the skill to repair to it and I don't.
Saves me having a non-runner on the drive.

Re: Bloomin' cars
Tell me about it!
Last year ours cost us £1000+ because nobody could diagnose why it kept overheating & the engine eventually cooked! Had to have a new engine put in.
