right i know that females do the diggig,berring thing after they do a pee,but my male stich as been doing it for years as well im sure he is just copying lelo....

My boy does it but only when on grass they do this to scent the area , if my girl goes out without the dog he will smell her back feet and her scent glands (Round her bum) they have some nasty habbits dont they Wink

My lot have never done it as far as i'v seen, supposed to be a proud thing to do apparently like their proud of what they have done and want to add more scent from their paws to attract attention to it, it can also be a territorial thing.

I think I read somewhere ages ago that when they wee then scratch the floor its an agression thing.......like saying this is my patch. If they wee then wag there tale they are saying hi and being friendly. Could be true as blue does it all the time and he wants to batter any male dog lol. He is getting better slowly but it's hard work. He is fine with females.
