For the time being you could try using a harness & a long training lead - 30' to 80' long. You can get them quite cheaply from ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/80ft-LONG-DOG-HORSE-TRAINING-TRACKING-LEAD-VARIOUS-COLOURS-SIZE-LARGE-/230783507719?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D2533800386487108159%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D230783507719%26

When you get to the park just clip the long line on to the harness & let the other end trail. Make sure that the end is always well within your reach, though. If she doesn't come back as soon as you call you can just pick up the lead & reel her in!

As caryll said, long line her. You should not let her free until you have this fully under control. Lots of treats and praise and excitement when she comes back to you so that you are MUCH more fun than another dog Smile

A long lead works great. We never take Suki completly off lead unless she is in a closed in area

The long line is good. And take things like chicken or really tasty food with you so when you call her back, she'll be rewarded with so much awesomeness that she'll prefer you to another dog Big Grin

If I need to keep her attention Moo has a frisbee, where the frisbee goes Moo goes!

How long is her lead, though? An ordinary extendable or an 8' one won't be long enough.
