Name change
As we got April from a rescue society we are thinking of changing her name. April does not suit a brindle staffy,so we are going to change it to Meg which is much more Staffy. What do others think of changing names?

Re: Name change
Not a problem as long as it's done properly. Use treats & say her new name & treat - do it as often as you can & she'll soon start to respond to it!

Re: Name change
As Caryll says you shouldn't have any problems , a lot is in the tone you say it , not the name you use, MEG looks great in your avatar too , however as you have been a member now since Friday have to say I am personally dissapointed with the lack of piccies you have provided us with (other than your avatar pic count = 0 )
Here's a link may help you out with your obvious problem (please post in Galleries) you have 12 hours sarting from now

Re: Name change
I asked a similar question when wanting to change Denzil to Dexter, we changed it and he knows it already after just nine days. Clever things these dogs...if someone started calling me something else (and many probably have just not to my face ) I would take forever to get used to it!

Re: Name change
Yeah, we changed our old dog's name from Butch to Zac and he picked it up no problem, so just overload her with her new name, in a happy, friendly tone, and she'll pick up on it easily
