Meet Pandora!
Hi this is pandora, she is 16 weeks old now, i have had 2 staff before when i lived with my parents. she has a loving tempament, but somehow she doesnt seem to be gaining much weight, i have been giving her two tins of pedgree puppy food, and she still looks alittle ribby, can anyone suggest an addictive puppy food to try and she is never that bothered about eating.

Re: Meet Pandora!
Hi & welcome.
What a sweetie! I've got to say that tinned food isn't the best for a dog, and Pedigree Chum is one of the worst ones! Tinned food is about 80% water so you have to feed a lot more of it to get the right amount of nutrition.
Have you thought about switching to dry food? It looks expensive when you first buy it, but it works out a lot cheaper because you use less. If you do decide to change, go for the best one you can afford (avoiding anything with colours in it like Bakers etc) and change it over gradually.

Re: Meet Pandora!
alotta people on here use rather high quality dog food such as jameswellbeloved, golden eagel, Fish4dogs and ect. the puppy versions of these are high in important fats to help keep puppy going good
My Romeo eats Golden Eagel dry food. i add a little warm water to it and let it sit for a minute before i give it to him to help bring out the flavour and so he doesnt eat it so damn fast. He only gets tinned food on special days and its mixed with dry.

Re: Meet Pandora!
Hi thanks for the comments. The reason she is on pedigree is because that's what she was on when I got her. I then tried changing her food to science plan dry food but she wasn't eating very much and only put on 600g in 2weeks! So the vet suggested I give her what she would eat a lot of. I would love her to eat dry food. Is there and places I can get samples? She seems not to like dry food.
