Best complement you've ever had about your dog/s?
There's always plenty of negativity about our favourite breeds.
But some people can see past the media-painted picture.
Just curious to know about the best complement your dog/s have ever received, from who, and in what context?
Let's have a nice positive thread.

Nothing but nice things said about my 2.
Yesterday a lady from the local school who's son (5 yr old) came running over to hug Tank said ' aww your Tank is such a celebrity round here' he's so good.
I was chuffed x

What a great thread
Rocky is always complemented on his lovely shiney coat by everyone he says hi to. One particular senior lady at the park has a thing about his bum ??? she always has to give it a squeeze and she is always chatting him up. He loves her soooo much

Another thing I love is, Tank will sit right outside the school gates everyday waiting for my children to come out. Almost everyone says ' look there's Tank!' Tank will just sit there calmly until he spots one of my kids lol

We also do the school run daily and Percy is loved by everyone that walks by...most of the kids/parents will stop and ask to say hello to him, he sits so calmly lapping up all the attention.
Percy has also converted 2 friends to want to rehome a staffie, they can't believe just how clever and loving he is, a friend popped round this afternoon and asked at least 3 times " are you sure he's only 4 months?, he's so well trained and well behaved"
Makes me a very proud mummy x
P.s it's lovely to read and share happy times about our babies x

We get lots of compliments all the time here. AmStaffs are rare here so people always stop to ask about Suki and she wins them over pretty quickly

Tilly has always been the centre of attention on the school run , people don't realise I am trying to strangle Tommy to get the desired result, but love it when the kids want to come for a stroke without the parents trying to drag them away from the devil dogs

Everyone always compliments Loki's colour. Always, "What a lovely/odd colour" or how loving and exciteable he is and has a great personality, etc. I'm glad they see the hyperactivity as a good thing

Fiver and I were sat outside Starbucks coffee shop attached to Sainsburys in Altrincham. Lots of people approach Fiver as he is really friendly and loves everybody. One mature woman sat there for a while and eventually came over and said she'd had been very afraid of Staffies for ten years and would never go near them but watching Fiver she couldn't resist coming for a cuddle of him which she did for five minutes or more.
Gave me a warm feeling that he'd changed this ;lady's opinion of the breed and helped her with her fear of them.

Re: Best complement you've ever had about your dog/s?
Ralph always gets lots of comments about the condition of his coat and his colour.
But I think the main one was that Ralph and I went to puppy classes, and then onto the 'bronze' class for young dogs. Because the lady that runs the classes was so impressed with Ralph and I, and the things that he had achieved (he was also by far the youngest in the classes), she asked me to come and help her run the classes, so I now volunteer at the training school and am doing a course with the Acadamy of Dog Training and Behaviour! All thanks to Ralph!

Love the story about Fiver
Biscuit usually gets compliments on her obedience on walks from passers by, but they usually get the growl or I get the "HELP THEY'RE GOING TO KILL ME" look if they try to fuss her... she's getting there though, women and children are no problem she's just still not keen on men.. And from here friends that get close enough for cuddles it's her how soft her fur is and how gentle she is

I had a big bear of a GSD many years ago when they had a bad rep, but he won over everyone he met. Just hope my Bacchus can do the same when he's all grown up.
Well done Fiver. ><

Had a nice comment today at the vets .. went to stock up on Advocate, and get Max weighed (just over 20kgs of solid muscle ) ... and the vet said she has a 4yr old staffy just as mental as Max, but said "I wish he looked like that though" ........

Usually get comments about his face or coat, and since I've had laska people are always asking what breed are they.... One of the nicest comments was from one of the people in our park walk group, who said how sweet Marley and Laska are as they are the only dogs in the group to greet the other owners as well as the dogs when we meet.

buster gets lots of compliments but my 2 personal favourites are;
one we hear alot
"what a loveley staff puppy" HE'S 6!
and when a couple who used to breed and show staffy's complemented on
"his good breeding and stature" when the rescue home told us he was a cross breed!

Ty gets a lot of compliments on his behavior but I love that he is referred to as legendary by the people we meet up with in the park. We are well known in the suburb and often people I dont know from a bar of soap stop and greet Tyson by name on our walks.

I think the best was :-
It's nice to see someone take time to train their dog, and a pleasure to see the obedience and training has worked
plenty of comments how cute she is and how good she looks

Well done fiver
Pixee always gets compliments on her pretty looks, and how well behaved she is (When no one is scaring her, like Biscuit she does not always like men, generally the certain ones, and when no one puts their hand out to her) From friends, they say how shocked they are that we leave her the run of the house when we go out and how amazed they are with her.
