Re: Advice on new puppy needed!!
Welcome . Unfortunately, stopping the biting isn't a quick thing, it takes quite a while, but with consistent training, it will get better and eventually stop. The link that's been posted has good information, so I wont say anything more than that, but good luck

Re: Advice on new puppy needed!!
OMG why on earth did you get him so young? Not even 6 weeks old!
The trouble is, he's missed out on a lot of bite inhibition which would have been taught to him by his litter mates.
What are you feeding him & when? What exactly do you do when he gets hyper & starts to nip?

You're doing the right thing on how to handle the biting, just that you have to keep doing it. They usually learn that from their mum and siblings, so it's down to you to teach him that now, and just be consistent and do it every time he bites. Eventually he'll learn, just that it takes a while.

He is trying to get you to play. Just keep doing what you are doing it's simply a phase, a very unpleasant one.

Yes, the most important things are patience and consistancy from everyone in the house. Here is a link that should help as well.
