Re: Lucky meeee !!
They're my fourth pair of Salomon's, my current pair have warn out after 18mths (though they were just light weight ones I needed after my bike accident) .. still have a pair of pretty good mountain boots, but since my ankle got spasticated 18mths ago, and has heeled a lot bigger over the broken bone, they are too uncomforftable for me ... so after trying on a load this arvo at "Go Outdoors" .. these bad boys fit like a glove ... and ... they do a "comfort guarantee" ... so if I have any fit problems in the next three mths, they will change them for a differant size, or differant boot if I match the price differance if they cost more ... cant go wrong

Re: Lucky meeee !!
That sounds like a good deal with Go Outdoors, I got a pair of these from Cotswold Outdoors about 7 years ago, they are very comfy too. They are called Meindl Borneo:

Re: Lucky meeee !!
Kaztaz - The Wrekin is a lovely hill (I think I have walked it ) .. cant beat a hill work to blow away the cobwebs
Kathy - Yeah normally I use Cotswold for all my outdoor/climbing gear, but this "comfort guarentee" thing swung it for me knowing the problems I've had with my ankle, and the CEO of Go Outdoors being a keen mountaineer helps .. I like Meindl boots, actually it was between my Salomons and a pair of Meindl's .. but the Salomons were a bit lighter, and are a little more water proof the guy reakoned .. but when ya spending this kinda money on them, there isnt a lot in it apart from how they feel on the foot really

Re: Lucky meeee !!
That's the main thing for a pair of walking boots, they must feel right otherwise no point in wearing them.
