Bullfighting in France
I dont see how they can let this carry on, it says that up to three quarters of the French populations would back a ban on it.:

Re: Bullfighting in France
It should be banned throughout the country - it's stupid having a ban in one region but not another!

Re: Bullfighting in France
It is. People will just travel the 30mins to the border of the next region. Things like this should be stopped all over in order for it to be effective

Most bull fighting in france is humane (ish) in as much as they don't stick darts into the bulls, they don't kill them at the end & when they're not fighting they live a life of riley! But some regions still allow the spanish type of bull fighting.

Don't have a particular affection to the French anyway unless they have a staff and aren't called Gunman , then they are probably decent people

I've been to France many times & I've never had a problem with the french except in Paris! I suppose Paris is like every other big city - very impersonal & sick to death of foreign tourists!
Everywhere else I've been they've been great - I try to communicate with my only-slightly-over-basic french, and laugh at myself when it goes wrong. I've found they've always been ready to help & join in the laughter. In Verdun they also kept standing us a round of drinks cause we were the only tourists who were prepared to join in & have a laugh.

I guess they are the same as anywhere else if you are prepared to have a go they get on better with you, I found that in Tenerife with my basic Spanish learned on the plane over there.

Re: Bullfighting in France
The french have a lot of trouble identifying our accents though - they used to think we were dutch!
