recall
Just a bit of a brag but have started to let my tash (14 weeks) off the lead and she comes back every time (for sausage). I call her the minute i see something in the distance before she does. Today we were in the woods, met some dogs went ahead, let tash off and they followed a few minutes later, came over to say hello to tash and then went back to their owners, i called tash and she came first time.
So proud

What a star!!
Want to borrow Dempsey for a while & teach him to listen? He's deaf in one ear - and it's always the ear that's nearest me!

Re: recall
Well odne, play hide and seak with her as well, that will reinforce the recall. The more you do with her now when she becomes a teenage hooligan it will help.

Re: recall
Oh wow, brilliant! Loki's great with recall, but I've never tried it out when a dog is close to him or when he's met a dog, because all he wants to do is play. Well done to you and Tash

Re: recall
That's really good. Ralph is reasonably good, but wont come back if there's another dog about!
Its work in process.

Re: recall
well done , we were really lucky with Tommy and had him off lead at 12 weeks ( ) but only because he loved to follow his big sister , always comes back when he thinks Tilly is too far away from me but they are always together

Re: recall
aww thanks everyone, yes im very proud. She had a play with 3 big gun dogs today in the rain and the mud - was filthy, when we were going our separate ways she went to go off with them but i recalled her and she thought about it and then came.
Its clicked. Now for sorting out the mouthing tonight!

Re: recall
That's reeeeeeally impressive 'cause she's still a baby. How long have you worked on the recall??
Re the mouthing........she is obviously a very smart cookie so carry on with the advice on the forum and I'm sure she'll get the message.
Can't wait to get my boy who obviously will be the smartest dog in???......let's say Scotland.
