un rooting android
Getting well cheesed off. Brought a galaxy s2 a couple of weeks back to find kies wont update it. Turns out its been rooted so kies wont play ball. Soo after bricking it twice this weekend i have it up and running again with a known good standard samsumg firmware but bloody kies still wont update and says its unsupported phone. Ive been using odin to flash it which seems to do trick but just want a standard fw so kies can update. I dont mind rooting a phone as long as ive done it but dont trust anyone else...why oh why is ig so hard to just go back to standard fw...any tips greatly appretiated.

Ok ... I think what my mate said he did was flash with Odin3, and summut about google the network its on for the correct fw ... does that make sense ? ... there was a little more to it than that I think, but if I'm on the right track I can get a bit more detailed with my answer if ya like (tho he did say if you send it in a jiffy bag to him he'll do it for ya ) thats not as dodgy as it sounds actually .. he is a good bloke

Re: un rooting android
If am correct in reading your post your trying to go the "Official Stock ICS Firmwares" so try going to this link on XDA Developers and will find offical firmware link (ICS) along with quick instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679636
This works on all I9100Gs if you have different model (GT-I9100 or I9000) just search forums for correct model and am sure will find Stock FirmWare for your handset.
hope this helps
