Stanley, DOB 6/2011, Yorkshire
Homing Requirements Stan needs an active home with or without other dogs. Stan does not get on with cats. He has a tendency toward excitement (typical youngster!) so a calm but active home would be ideal.
Story Stan was rescued from the stray kennels a couple of months ago when he was due to be PTS. He has been living with five other dogs and two older children since then. He has been vaccinated, neutered, chipped and treated regularly with advocate.
Advert Stan is an absolute angel in the house, he is not destructive or vocal when left and he travels well. He is an excitable little cuddle monster who needs a calm but firm owner to give him guidance and continue with his training - he is extremely intelligent and learns quickly so training is a pleasure (I think he would make a brilliant agility dog). He is currently walked two times a day for around 30 minutes and he manages fine on this - sleeping for much of the day, the afternoon walk could possibly be replaced by ball throwing in the garden and a play session instead. He is used to someone being at home for much of the day but could manage being left for around four hours easily.
When out walking he is good with most dogs but, as with many Staffs, he occasionally takes a dislike to a dog and will bark and growl. This will need to be worked on as he matures to ensure a well rounded adult. He is already coming along well in this respect, he just needs kind and firm guidance to take him into adulthood. A more loving dog I have never met, he will love his family - especially the children for a lifetime. This little boy has stolen our hearts - he is such character - it is very easy to fall in love with him. Someone will own a little star in this one, if his training is kept up as he matures then this time in a year he will be the dream Staff
Lifetime support is offered for this special little man. Home check and adoption fee apply.
