Re: xena
She is gorgeous
Keep a dairy of it all then put it up on a free web site, what you are going through will help others. That is what I did with Ellie and I have had a lot of emails thanking me because it has given them hope.

Try giving her some ice cubes to crunch. She might not feel much like drinking at the moment.

Re: xena
Aww poor girl, She looks quite stable though. Whatever your doing is working. Is she eating? If she is maybe you could make her up some soup with a stock cube or some bovril or something. That way you could get more fluids into her.

Re: xena
she gone back to the vet till 6pm they think she needed some fluid in her...last night was hard she didn't sleep much at all
Re: xena
She is taking Reiki Steve, some dogs won't take it but she is.
Stock cubes and bovir contain too much salt so don't give her any.
When Tommy wouldn't drink I put a little water on a teaspoon, lifted her lip and let it drop in, I done this every hour and managed to increase her dehydration but it did take me about 10 minutes to do each time to get enough water into her. If you can get your hands on a dropper that will work better, just life her lip. Tommy was named by my husband after Tommy Lawton who used to play for Everton, Dixie was Dixie Dean and Joe was Joe Royle.

Re: xena
It does sometimes take them a while to get back to a normal eating/drinking routine.
She'll be ok soon, don't worry.

Re: xena
yes another hurdle is done just have to wait 4 days for the result on the tumour they have found
Re: xena
Whatever they find, at the moment it doesn't matter. What will be, will be. For now, concentrate on her getting loads of tlc (like you wouldn't anyway!) and rest - she'll at least have a new lease of life after that awful thing was removed!

Re: xena

I really hope she gets well soon........ it is so hard to see our beloved pets like this............but if she has been eating and drinking at the vets at least that is a good start.............

Re: xena
That last photo looks like a much happier little girl.
A lot of dogs don't eat or drink after having anaesthetic , I had that problem with Ellie.
She looks like she is well on the road to recovery now.
