sam last pop

the last bit of his pop had dark red stuff in it i don't know if it was blood or not what do you think should i wait a see if he does it again or go to the vet?

I believe dark red is not a good as light as it means it is further up the digestive track. Maybe call the advice nurse? I always thought it is less worrisome if it is fresh blood than dried. Also, wait and see if it clears. It could just be something he ate. If it gets worse you will have to take him in.

it wasn't dried just at the end pop

Probably nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on it. Mine get that way too every now and then.

could it be because u change to fish4dogs?

Gets your gloves on and get digging in it. Only one way to find out if its blood.

just read some comment online it said it could if he does it tomoz hes off to the vet with it

If its just blobs then yes food can, but if its all dark and mixed in then its not food.

it was mixed up in a bit of diarrhea at the end

I'm often seeing funny coloured bits in Dempsey's poo - bits of his bedding, bits off his tug toys etc.

No, but he might have picked up something in the park & you didn't see it.

As caryll said i would see what his next one is like, if it's the same then vets.

I agree with the others, I'd have a good look at his next one and if it's the same, off to the vet. I hope he's okay.

He's got diarrhea? Then I'd check tomorrow's & if it's the same take him to the vet. Try and get a sample if you can.

most of his pop was normal just the last bit where the dark red stuff was

See how he is tomorrow then decide.

Is he still eating and drinking OK and behaving as his usual self ?

Something might have upset his tum a bit. Hopefully he'll be fine tomorrow.

he had more today not as much but the pop had a red-ish look about it i think I'm going wait and keep eye on him over the weekend because hes himself if he still doing it on Sunday he off to the vet on Monday.
