Re: Blue wont eat !!
Just take his food up and put it down again later , probably a bit out of sorts if he is teething but a healthy dog won't starve himself.
Is he ok in himself not limping or anything with you talking about overdoing the walk ??

If his teeth are sore perhaps try soaking it (if it's dry food) might be easier for him to eat

Re: Blue wont eat !!
Hi it could be teething is he well in himself no sickness or lack of energy etc?
You could try softening hid food if hes on dry i use too add alittle gravy make sure it isn,t too hot, my trick too find out if my dog is poorly or jus being fussy is too try him with something yummy alittle fresh chicken or meat if he eats that normally hes ok and either being fussy or teething.
General rule is if they are drinking and well just keep an eye on him but if he gets tired poorly or sick go too the vet.
If he is teething wet an old rag put it in the freezer and then let him chew away it helps ease the pain x

Re: Blue wont eat !!
I'd put his food down and take it up after a bit and give nothing else until next meal time. If he's healthy he won't starve himself

Agree with above, try to resist giving treats until he has eaten his normal food.

Re: Blue wont eat !!
For 4-5 morning this week Ledger didn't touch his breakfast (normally he is eagerly looking for it after his morning walk) eventually slowly eating it when I put it down again around lunchtime but he still pestered for and ate his evening meal at 5pm as usual. This morning though he was back to his usual self maybe he is just teasing me as I have just placed a bulk order for his dry food!

Frozen carrots helped cairo with teething.I hope he is feeling more comfortable soon. You could try soaking his food in a little chicken broth which will smell lovely and be easier for him to eat

I'm not trying to act like i know everything, but go easy on the walks while he's a pup. you don't want to do any long term damage, 5 mins per month of age is about average.

I agree with this - an over long walk at his age (I take it he's only about 4 months old?) can make him very out of sorts & could affect his appetite. But it could also affect his growth plates & tendons, leading to problems in the future. Try keeping his walks down to about 15 minutes or so, three times a day, with a little off lead play during those walks.
