bigoted dog clique

I live in a small village and a year ago I aquired a gorgeous staffie, basically the dog clique have proven to be bigoted small minded people in that they believe the 'mythis' etc that surround these lovely dogs and will not let their dogs near mine which means that they have banned us from the fields they use due to their attitude...somebodies dog attacked us while mine was on a lead and I recieved a bite which has left a scar, their response was that a scar is nothing compared to the damage my dog could inclict!!! I have tried talking to them but their ignorance and bigotry will not allow them to listen to intelligent discussion....their argument is that mine got into a fight this breed dont stop until they kill...is this true?

I am so angry...has anybody else been in a similar situation?

No it is not true, and they are just uneducated and ignorant people

They cant ban you from a field, who the heck do they think they are only a court order can do that.

Idiots like these believe everything thats written in the news papers, their narrow minded * and know it alls.

Do you really want to be associated with ppl like this, let the carrot crunchers live in their little world, the stafford dont need love or understanding from that type of ppl.

Oh people like that make me so mad their ignorance is shameful, Firstly they can not ban you from a public place, i would go on there ignore them if need be keep your dog on a lead so you have complete control, Secondly NO our dogs do not fight too kill i am not saying that they couldn,t kill a small dog as yes they could so could any big dog!!! I know someone whos yorkie was killed by a lab, who are meant too be so gentle, my staffords over the years have been attacked by other dogs and haven,t even fought back, it depends on the dog and how its brought up!!! People like this make it a very cruel world too live in try too enjoy your beautiful dog and ignore them!!!!

We have to blame the media thats encouraged people to feel this way.

In answer too your question, No that aint true it all depends on your dog, both of mine would never start a fight but hoochs and taras nature they would if another dog challanged them they would take them on, where as stan on the other hand would run a mile if a dog challanged him but being a responsible owner i would never put hooch or tara in the situation too have too defned himself against another dog that wants too challange him.

You know your dog and you know what your dogs temp is like how can they or anyone judge your dog like that i know because of narrowminded media hype beliving a***s. Makes me so mad.

personally i think you should tell us where you live and then we organise a staffy walk on the field in protest . I'm number 1 on the list who else is coming ??

I'm blessed to be in such a seemingly open-minded area, it honestly surprises me when I hear about things like this. The narrow-mindedness and stupidity of people is insane. The fact that the majority of those people aren't willing to hear out another opinion to their own is even more frustrating.

Ignore them and get on with your own life, don't even let it bother you, they're obviously just...idiots.

Dave I have been thinking the same thing...if you are serious I am up for it most definitely. I live in a very small village in Cambridgeshire East Anglia, demography white, middle class; thatched cottages etc apart from me and my ten immediate neighbours who live in the tiny council area on the edge of the village...dont mean to stereotype here or I would then be no better than this particular 'dog clique'just giving a flavour of my environment. This group walk their dogs twice a day around 9.30am and 5pm...so if anyone would like to join me and my lovely Coco who does not have an aggresive bone in her body, for a mass staffy walk put your hand up and we will make a date:)

Wow, unfortunately, that's the reputation our dogs have been given by the media but we know different.

Charlie wouldn't start a fight (unless it was a small dog, he hates those), but he would sure as hell finish one I think.

I'm unfortunately much too far away to assist in a staff protest, but it sounds like fun

aarrrgh!! trying to download photos of my girl using suggested website and getting nowhere...I am a bit of a luddite so pretty useless when it comes to techie stuff...I am trying to download from my computer files as I dont have a new fangled mobile that takes photos (told you - luddite) can I do this with 'photo bucket'? I have a friend who has techie knowledge streaming from his ears so if I have no luck the promise of a bottle of newcastle brown ale and a stottie cake should incite him around to help out:)

To post pics you have to use photobucket, it is pretty simple, I am a complete pc dunce so if I can.............

1,open a www.photobucket.com account

2,Upload pics from you pc there

3, once they have loaded click on the album, under every photo will be 3/4 options

4, select img option and copy the code

5, paste the code here

6, you can preview your post b4 you send it,
