Lee, Staffie, DOB 03.10 - Farnham, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Lee needs a family who can offer him time and centre their lives on his needs. He has grown up with children. Used to being an only dog. Secure garden a "must", 6' panel fencing in good repair and exit management. Not for cats. Can be left for short periods, not a 'lunchtime visit' home for Lee.
His Story: Lee was owned by one family living with very young children. He kept getting out over a 4' fence. The dog warden became a family friend, picking him up and returning him. The dog warden micro-chipped him and in the end refused to let him go back. You get the sense that Lee was on the parameter of his families lives, so entertainment and attention focused on escaping and going walk abouts. Lee is 2 years old. Neutered, chipped and vax'd. He was fostered when his fosterers circumstances allowed but is now in boarding kennels near Farnham, Surrey.
Video time! Have I mentioned I LOVE LEE!
Video:Lee walking on a loose lead through busy Caversham
Advert: Lee is a kind, affectionate dog. He loves human contact and cuddles. He loves to be out in the garden and potter around. He meets dogs well but has only been an only dog. Doesn't like cats! "Loves being made a fuss of. He is a naturally polite dog, doesn't beg and knows SIT. He doesn't rifle the kitchen bin and is not destructive; but rope toys will be shown little mercy! Lee is so keen to please and should be easy to train as he thrives on praise and approval".
Lee is a longer legged, very handsome 2 year old Staffie. He has a slender build with a houndy feel, walking with his nose to the ground, his paw pointing in a fold poised and standing on 3 legs. He is inquisitive indeed and would need a lot of work to get his recall as he is 'alert and tuned' on his walk. In the home he is just happy to be with you, a sensitive soul who so needs time to settle.
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Hi Sharon, Lee certainly is a very handsome boy.
Could I ask what harness he has on in the first picture. I need a second for Rocky for when he is wet and that one looks good. Many thanks

Re: Lee, Staffie, DOB 03.10 - Farnham, Surrey
Read your post and thought to myself that I would be unlikely to know, but took a look and know exactly as my Patterdale has one - they are very comfortable and don't rub under the armpits. It's a CosyDogs harness: http://www.dog-harnesses.co.uk/.
Only thing I would say is that if you have a real puller of a dog then i'd always double lead; one from the harness and one from a collar for back-up.
