Re: new member
Hi, I've just been reading through this.
I have one or two questions if you don't mind.
1. I notice that you have a dog with cropped ears? Where did you get him from, and where (which country) were his ears cropped?
2. Are your stud dogs/bitches fully health checked for L2-HGA and HC? And do you also insist on these health checks being made on any dog yours are mated to?
3. At what age do your bitches have their first litter?
4. You say you are set up to be able to look after any pup you breed until it's 6 months old - what about after that if you still can't sell it?
5. You intend to mate your Misty Blue (I think that was the name) to a blue dog? Are you aware that mating blue to blue drastically increases the likelihood of CDA? Also, breeding purely in order to obtain a specific colour pup can be detrimental to the pups' health.
6. You say that you're not a byb? However, you go on to say that you have bred over 30 puppies. How long a period is that over?

i got bella here in ireland, and her ears wer done already...
the vet does all my necessary checks on all my dogs, dogs/bitches alike..and den all pups before they leave..
my bitches wont have a litter until der 4th heat, this makin em over 2 and a half...
i am capable of keeping every pup til its big & old if need be...but as i have 4 bitches here iv it worked that 2 pup within 5 weeks of each other, skippin the others heats, and wen it comes to d others heats i skip d 2 that wud of jus had a litter, this givin me a litter every 6-8 months...so far i have only bred my staff mj and amstaff smokey,iv skipped my blues heats until now iv decided she is ready & well capable of giving me a litter as she is jus gone 3 yrs now & iv finally found a good enough mate for her...my bella is stil only a pup herself at jus 13 months i haven even given tought into breeding her she a while awy from it yet...
so ur saying by me getting a blue stud for misty blue is wrong.. basically ur tellin me selective breeding is wrong that i shud jus throw any ol dog up on her and hope for the best is it????
and as for pups iv bred thats over a period of a year and a half from jus 2 bitches...mj (had 8 last year & 4 this year) smokey (had 12 last year (lost 1 at birth) & 11 this year 3weeks old and flyin around
and before i get d lash off every 1 sayin 2 litters in that period of time each bitch had a litter and fully recovered, was thoroughly vet checked, there next heats wer skipped, and they wer sound in health at time of breeding again...
the pictures of mj & maxi here are 9 weeks after d bitch had her litter of 4 this year and as of 7 weeks after she is as solid as ever before you wudn even tink she was jus out of a litter

Re: new member
I think your confusing the health checks needed for a basic check up at the vets.
This is not the case, the health tests require blood samples being taken and sent off to the animal health trust.
Plus a yearly eye test is need also for PHPV which is done at an eye specialized vets.

Here are links to what we are talking about.
You maybe unaware of these problems in the breed, and if your love for your dogs and their off spring is as true as you state your consider getting them done

Re: new member
Sorry, i asked if you bred to sus you out.
I don't think you should be breeding a banned dog, its irresponsible. Im sure you know what these dogs are used for, and you cannot possibly hope that all pups will be sent to nice homes.

But why? For the money? If so, then yes, that makes you a byb. If not for the money, why the necessity of so many litters?

What I'm saying is that to breed purely for colour is wrong. Especially breeding blue to blue as you drastically increase the likelihood of CDA.

I don't care how many vet checks she had - breeding two litters from a bitch so close together is bad for her health & is, again, a method used by back yard breeders.

Re: new member
Just to clarify, CDA is a skin condition, resulting in itchyness and hairloss and is very high in blue dogs, and even higher in blue dogs with two blue parents.

Listen, Tucker, I know it sounds like we're all ganging up on you but you have to understand that we see the results of bad breeding & back yard beeders here all the time, and we're pretty quick to try & see an end to it.

Maybe not, but I really can't see why else you'd want to breed so many litters - it would help if you'd answer the comments I made in the above post.
