My poor old girl Maz got badly attacked

Hi all not been on for a while (lack of laptop).
My poor old girly got attacked saturday late night and worst of all it was my parents vizla, lucky my step dad got Vizla of Maz quick, and as there was 7 dogs was lucky they didnt all join in, but she still ended up with 8 punctures 2 extremely bad, emergancy vets, injections & lots of tablets she was in so much pain she then turned on my nans shih tzu when he snapped at her lucky she did no damage as her teeth are pretty blunt, shes been spoilt since and 3 people cried seeing the state of her, she really dont need it at her age, but an akward one coz my step dad sed maz growled first so kinda started it, im fuming but when its ur parents dog i cant be over angry

Heres some pix of my poor baby still bad today lots of possitive thoughts for my lil Mazzy moochi , her throat as u can see is still quite swollen (it was worse) shes got a chunk outta her throat and a VERY large puncture in her shoulder, 1 on her face as u can c, 2 in her inner ear, 1 on her head, 1 on her leg and 1 near her chest

She's really not herself feel so sorry for her she just dont wanna know anyone, she's having trouble eating her kibble due to her jaw/throat hearting so she got spoilt and has had wet food only and her fav smackos

I maybe mad but I swear Kodi knows shes unwell as he isnt trying to play just keeps laying with her like he's looking after her

Poor Maz SO Sorry she had such a nasty experience at her age, i have always had a soft spot for her as she looks like my old girl who i lost in Feb, how old is your s dads dog? have they had problems before, My old girl got bitten by a young lab i was shocked she was 17 and was no threat too anyone, it mustt have been heartbreaking for you i really really wish her a speedy recovery >< lots of spoiling i think xxx oh and your not mad about your other dog, they definitely sense illness or injury on other dogs xx

I have only just seen this thread, I hope she is a lot better now.

Dogs always have a reason to growl, if she growled it was because she was telling the other dog not to do something so it wasn't her that started it but the other dog. She has been very lucky, they way the other dog went for her neck he could have killed her.

What sometimes happens is if there is a health problem with a dog that is not showing any symptoms another dog will go for her, this is normal dog behaviour. When at the vets was Maz checked for anything else wrong? When Bonnie was attacked by both Tilly and Dolly I had Bonnie checked for anything else wrong. I never leave Bonnie and Dolly together now, Dolly has had another go at Bonnie but was quickly got off before she done any damage, the first time I was out, came back to a seriously injured little girl.
