Re: hello
Aw he's a gorgeous little thing! Love the bit of white on his nose!
Yes, people always tell you "You shouldn't have one of those if you have kids". Utter rot! As long as they're brought up properly (the staff & the kids!) they're the best dog in the world to have around children.

Re: hello
im going through exactly the same thing with lola and theres plenty of people who can advise here like they did for me but my advice.....patience and perseverance in the past ten days we had 2 realy good days and 8 bad lol but shes learning
i put her out every half hour and strait after meals also she has a walk in the morning for about twenty minutes and another about 3pm when i walk to meet my son wich lasts about 45 minutes.some do longer some less but i find this is plenty for lola and shes started doing her mess on the walk rather than in the garden.the wet stuff is what i put her out for every half hour but if she gets exited she just go,s wherever so thats what we working on the most.

Re: hello
Hiya and welcome to the forum.
Your pup is absolutely gorgeous!!
I'm still having a few probs with housetraining with my 13 week old pup but don't worry, it just takes patience, patience, patience, oh, and a bit more patience!! As long as you're taking him out every hour or so, and after he'd eaten, drank, slept or had a play session, he'll soon get the hang of it. Lotys and lots of praise when he goes where you want him to will help him catch on quickly. When he does have an accident, don't tell him off for it, just clean it up without him seeing and forget about it. Good luck

Re: hello
Hiya,I'm new to this too, only joined the other day,so hello to everyone else on here too,and sorry if this message ones up twice because I have written it all out once but it doesn't seem to be here!! You will love having a staffy !! First bit of advice I would give you is take as many pictures as you can whilst yours is young, you won't believe how fast they grow up!! Don't worry about the toilet training, they get there eventually!! I found of sid did a wee inside I would just take him back to it and show him, then take him outside and he soon got the message where to go! Also don't worry about staffs and kids, they are known as the nanny dog as they are excellent with little ones,do though keep an eye on them all together, not because it's a staffy, because it's a dog,you would hate for anything to happen and for people to force you to give up your little pup!! Go easy on the walks whilst young as it can harm thier joints and muscles, but apart from that just enjoy being a staffy owner!!

Re: hello
A couple of us have replied to this in the feedback thread. How old are each of the pups? Where did you get them from? Did they meet before you brought the female home? Was there an incident that provoked the attacked? Did your male give any warning before he attacked? Sorry for the questions, but the more info we have the more likely we can help you.
