Re: combs / brushes
I brush Zeus with a brush similar to this weekly:
He actually likes it when I brush him, he stands still and just lets me do it! I'm guessing he likes the feeling of it lol. I also clean his ears weekly with ear wipes from PAH and around his eyes too!

Oh wow, clean the ears and eyes too. Anybody else do this on top of grooming too?

Re: combs / brushes
Well no staffy here yet (although shouldn't be too long now!! ) but I use a zoom groom on my lot plus a normal (human, plastic) comb on my wirehaired dog so will try the zoom groom on the staff, my SIL uses a zoom groom on her staff and says it works a treat.
My labs ears get cleaned quite often (with epi otic) sometimes as often as once a week in the summer as he's prone to a gunky build up. The others I've never needed to clean although all ears are checked daily.
Eyes don't get cleaned apart from the removal of the odd eye bogey that hasn't been wiped off on the furniture/clothes etc!

The amount of eye bogeys I have to take off Zeus is unreal! Literally 2/3 times a day!

You must be good at catching them, either that or he's slow at rubbing them off himself! I remove far more from household objects and clothes than I do the dogs!

Re: combs / brushes
Well Mister Mayja is a kinky bugger and he likes to be rubbed down/groomed with a pair of marigolds
Your be surprised the amount of dead fur they remove.
Also a pair of old tights do a good job too, the static thats produced as you groom lifts dirt/fur plus leaves the coat shining.

Has he picked up on your kinky ways
And thanks all, the brush I have is rubbish, I will be having a look at pets at homes for a better brush.
I dont clean Pixees ears, although I check them every few days. Eyes I clean with a damp tissue to clean that bogey unless she has already wiped it off somewhere
