Hi All
Just jpined yesterday and have already had some valuable advice from you, so I think I will be spending a lot of time on here from now on!
I am blessed to have two wonderful dogs Chloe and Alfie. They are my life and its great to be in touch with so many likeminded people.
I do have one problem with my Alfie, he is unbeleivably insecure - he shows a lot of agression towards other dogs - we have tried a muzzle and it took him all of two seconds to get it off. We are lucky enough to live on a canal boat alongside a nature reserve so there is plenty of room for them to run free. Chloe is a diamond and we don't have to worry so much with her, but this makes me feel awful to him as he can't be let off all the time
I want them both to have the best life but this problem is really holding back on life for chloe too as we don't separate them so when we go to a friends who might have dogs we can't take them cos of the little man!
Any suggestions?

Hi & welcome to the forum ><
The only thing I can suggest is going back to basics with Alfie. I would start with keeping him on leash and taking him for a long walk. Once you have drained some of his energy try and find a spot where dogs will pass in the distance. Everytime one passes give Alfie a treat so he starts to assosiate other dogs with something good. Over time try and reduce the distance

Hello & welcome to the forum,
sounds like your dog just needs some more socialising & to experience happy times with other dogs & just make sure that your calm yourself when your out walking.

Hi all
Thanks for your replies.
I posted this on another forum (the right one!) And I will use an extra long lead with his harness and try him with my friends dogs as we'd like to go away together so hopefully slowly but surely!
Thank you
