Just wanted to let u know about floods in Queensland

In case you aren't following them shame shame on u lol, we're having the worst floods in 34 years, int's now in my home town of Brisbane, so far we are safe but that could change if the creek behind us which flows into the Brisbane River floods with the King tide & high tide due to occur at the same time this afternoon. We have an evacuation pack ready to go, but no where to go or no way to get there and i won't go if i can't take Mia & Harley. Some shelters won't allow pets.

So just letting you know thatwe are safe at the moment.

Sleep what's that? i'm checking the creek all the time, so far it's down as the sun has FINALLY come out and there's no rain. If i don't get flooded i will come back on friday to let you all know i am ok until then please pray for all Queenslanders so far 10 dead and 90 missing.

ye we know are news programs are following the situation closelly
and we will hope for no rain for yous

Thanks Phew made it with no flooding at all which was a relief as alot of the evac shelters wouldn't take pets.

That's great news Hazel. We're all thinking of you guys overhere - what are the forecasts in your area like? When will you know your in the clear for good?

The weather forcast is saying sun shine for the weekend..
people are dumping all their things on their front lawns so the government can collect.
They are worried about the mozsies breeding in the water that is laying around
everyone is asked to wear full length pants, shirts and googles to protect their eyes etc.
people are shoverling loads of mud from their homes and people are stealing from homes that are left un attened... low life idiots.
it will take months and months to clean up the mess..
people have 2 metres of mud in their homes

It must be the worst thing to just have everything you own instantly destroyed. Fingers crossed that those who are missing are found.

Hi all yep everything is FINE thanks for thinking of us. There's still a few king tides due but no where near us, we're still getting rain but nothing major, floods are now moving down the East Coast.

Mel- it's not just mozzies, they had on ACA the other day that there are now diseases that haven't been seen here since WW1, plus i won't mention the levels of E-coli, STaph etc that are around.

There are still people missing and in 1 town(they say it was ground Zero) lots of people are still missing and may never be found.

2 women went to the aid of another who ignored the barriers over a flooded street, they saved her but ended up drowning- one of them was pregnant, the lady saved just laughed when told what had happened, she is hated by everyone.

Words fail me about the saved lady.
