Fibromyalgia ??

I was just wondering if anyone on here has Fibromyalgia or knows some one with it as i was diagnosed with it in approx 2005 an it is such a ball ache (if i had them !)..

Its rare to find some one else who suffer's with it, so i just wanted to know if anyone else has had experience of it on here !!..

I have knee pain that enough pain for my body. Let alone having pain all over, so heart goes out to you.
How bad is it and is there any medication that helps?

My boss has it.
I have to give her full credit for even turning up to work - she walks like she's in slow motion and looks like she's in a lot of pain.

my hubby has it and it is horrible..it is like chronic fatigue but with aching all over.. there is no cure, worse luck...........

That is exactly how i feel 24/7 vanessa .. I am gradually gettin worse an some days i feel like am 90 yrs old..
There's no meds you can take really apart from gels to ease your muscles or pain killers to 'try' an take the aches an pains away an its just a case of basically puttin up with it an dealin with it but its the frustration of not being able to do the simplest of tasks an having to rely on people to do things for you ..

That is how it makes you feel.. like your walking with concrete boots an your legs just wanna quit or your arms feel like youv'e got weights on them and you fell like you have the strength of a nats backside !!!

You are constantly tired an yes your in alot of pain ..

Oh how i wish i could be the same as you hun... I had never heard of it before i was diagnosed with it, actually i joked with the Dr who told me i had it telling him he had just made that word up as it doesn't sound like a really condition !! How wrong was i ...

My mum has it, its a horrible thing. She was always active and on the go and now struggles to walk up a few steps. She gets a lot of blank looks from people because its not that well known and she doesn't look like there is anything wrong.

Sue, I know how bad Tony gets with it..it really is a horrible sickness..... No need to describe how he feels with it, as no doubt you would be the same, but he was diagnosed with it a few years after his liver packed up..apparently if you suffer a major illness you are more likely to get it... Wish I could be more positive for you ! X

yes that is the biggest thing..you LOOK alright . ..Tony can relate to that as everyone says but gee you look okay! Inside though he wants to jump off a cliff !
