Black spot on eyeball
Hello I am new to this site but have my very own chatty staffie zorro, however this post is for my boyfriends dog, his dog has developed a small round black spot on his eyeball. It is not al all protruding does not look like it is of any discomfort and the rest of the eye is normal no swelling or reddness. He has been taken to the vet however the vet advises that its either a age spot or simply keep an eye on it (excuse the pun) and return if the spot starts to protrub from the eye, other than that the vet seems a little clueless, just wondered if the same has happened to anyone elses dog here, would really appreicate some advice or anything really... thank you.

Re: Black spot on eyeball
If he has allergies its possibly a water cyst which will go away on its own. Other than that it can just be a little extra pigment and won't do any harm, but just keep and eye on it incase it ever changes.

Re: Black spot on eyeball
Is the black dot on the eye its self ( white of the eye or iris )
Or on the eye lid ??
Would it be possible for you to get a pic of it.
