My Meiko Cross Stitch
Hi all, I thought I'd show you guys some of my projects. I do conversions from photographs to cross stitch designs then stitch them. Its a very time consuming hobby but here is some of my work
This is the first convert I did and to be honest I'm not all that happy with it
I now have a much more precise method of conversion
Here's me working on it and Meek watching me, obviously I haven't finished it yet
This is my latest project a convert of Scotts car. This is an A3 size image consisting of 36,000 stitches

They are very good.
I not do I not have the patience for it I also have fat finger syndrome which will probably result in me more likely in doing something like stabbing myself in the eye

I think it's great, well done.
I can't even follow a pattern for x stitch, let alone design my own. As for the patience......

That is impressive. I am totally useless with any needle and thread (usually run to mom's to get hems done). Also don't have the patience, or the attention span to do something like that.

They look good
I did my favourite picture of my old horse. Mind you I cheated and sent it off to be converted into a chart because I only wanted to do the 1 picture , then just did the cross stitch of her. I was pleased I got it competed before we got her put down last year at the grand old ago of 30.

Re: My Meiko Cross Stitch
Thanks guys. She was a fab horse. I had a great time with her. I had her for 22 years. She was still galloping up for her tea 6 months before we had to have her put to sleep.

Re: My Meiko Cross Stitch
How do you convert the photos? I used to do a fair bit of cross stitch, but I'd love some of the dogs.

Re: My Meiko Cross Stitch
As I say I sent mine off to be converted, so I wouldn't like to reconmend any, I know the software is expensive. Here is where I got mine converted. They were very good. http://www.elite-designs.co.uk/

Re: My Meiko Cross Stitch
they are amazing. I did a few small cross stitches when I was in hospital, I found it very theraputic (sp?). I had no idea you could sent off photos to be converted into patterns. I might do a few of my girls, would be something nice to relax me after work
