your fave fish to eat?
i have had all the common fish cod, haddock, rainbow trout (wich wasn't my cup tea i thought tasted abit earthly) have you try something that was nice?

Flat Head is my fav... we used to have it every sunday when we were kids...
my dad used to roll it in flour salt and pepper and deep fry it for a min.. yummmooo

Monkfish baked in the oven is lovely. Wrap it in tinfoil first though. I've not tried flat head, I'll keep a lookout for that.

Have you tried sushi? Its healthy and practically made to go with salad and rice! Its really nice too.

The texture is lovely, slightly firm. It depends on what sushi you get as to the taste. Your best bet is getting one of the little mixed trays that they do in Tesco and trying that. If you like it, go to a sushi restaurant or go somewhere like m & s, theirs is more expensive, but its nicer.

my two fav fish are sweet william(dog fish)and skate wings

oooh and steve i know what you mean about trout being earthy
but not as bad as a salmon i bought off a friend of a friend a few years back i was spitting out shotgun pellets when eating lol

Totally agree. Although I'm mainly vege, I do eat a little fish/shellfish & Monkfish is superb! It's a very mild flavour though so you need to complement it with either salad or a lightly cooked crunchy veg.

Most definitely IS healthy - virtually no fat & very little additives.

yea i saw some of that in morrisons my dad was like u dont want any of that is bloody nasty... i may get some next week

i love it and like most others Monkfish but its really expensive now it used to used as scampi till fancy chefs got hold of it
