How to teach Bruno fetch
Hi Guys,
Right here is my problem, Bruno loves to play with balls and running after them but he always decides to just chew them once he's got it. So i want to know how i can get him interested in bringing it back. He will leave anything I tell him to.
Thanks Pauline

Have another ball to throw when he has got the first one. When you call him back with it give a small treat and lots of praise. He will soon associate bringing the ball back and a treat/fuss from you.

Re: How to teach Bruno fetch
we trained fetch/bring by using a tennis ball and a lot of tasty treats, we threw the ball which she never wanted to give up, walked over to her and offered her a treat which she dropped the ball for. we kept doing it until we could hold the treat out and she walked to us with the ball and dropped it to get the treat, now she puts the ball in our hand as she doesnt get a treat unless she does. she now brings us allsorts, ball, toys, chews, all on command. only took 2-3 days to teach her

That's what I did too....except I had to use a cats toy because that's the only thing she'd chase at the time! Yeah didn't take long at all.
