For once there's something fairly near me. It's still a half hour bus ride, though!

Well worth it in the event you ever have to use it though. Nothing worse than an emergency situation where you don't know what to do.

Looks like a great course and a great idea. Should be done all over the country.
Just out of interest how much is this course to take per person?
Hope you don't mind me asking

They seem to vary a bit, but not by much. The Northampton one's £35 per person.

Wow, I think that is really good. I was expecting about £100 to be honest

That's what I thought, as well. I can run to £35! You get to work on 'lifelike' dog models.........hmmm, I wonder how lifelike they are?

If they are similar to the human ones they will have a chest that inflates if you are providing oxygen correctly and blood that will come out until you have done the right thing to stop the bleeding.

You will probably find out that scientists have worked out the best way to resuscitate a dog is to temp it back to life with a piece of cheese.

That sounds like a great course. I have to do first aid courses every year for people and I've read a bit about cpr for dogs but it would be so good to be shown properly and get to practice it.

Might use for the step where you check their breething.
Step 1. Waft food in front of nose
Step 2. No reaction CPR
You will have to let us all know how it goes.
