good news
Hi too all hope your all well.
For all of you that saw my post yesterday about Ava, being spayed plus the stressful phone call i had about demodectic mange she had a nettle rash on her back legs but the vet was adamant it was demodectic mange, which really stressed me out due too a very bad experience with it in a neighbours dog.
Well the good news is Ava,s operation went very well she had abit of a rough night with pain and just generally feeling very sorry for herself so lots of spoiling and one silly mum falling asleep on the floor next too her bed so she wouldn,t jump on the sofa
But this morning OH dear back too one crazy pup >
I have spent the whole morning chasing her around trying too stop her from juming and playing it really is useless she is full of it and the vets say too keep her quiet i,d like too see them try and also I was right and the vets were wrong it was nettle rash not mange um i won,t say i told you so...!!!

Re: good news
Ar thats brillant news re the nettle rash. Mum knows best. Well trying to keep a pup still is like trying to win the big cash out lotto, you just cant . I suppose its good Ava is full of beans after a op. Perhaps you should stop chasing her instead

Thats great news on both parts
As I always say, the hardest part is making them realise that they have to be calm after!!

Re: good news
Thanks Janey Lynne and Kathy, End of day 1 and i have run myself ragged trying too keep her quite and calm NO CHANCE she doesn,t even seem too have any pain today and i have realised that me trying too stop her jumping is making it worst, but the vets said she can really damage herself internally I just wish they could sedate her for a week xxxxx

Re: good news
Just make sure you stop the jumping & stairs, easier said than done, have you got a crate? I have never used one but it can really help, especially when you have the 2.

Re: good news
I was really lucky with Moo, when she had her op she came to work with me, I could just shut her out the back of the bar and there wasn't any distractions!!
I can't really remember Scrumps, but I know we had an issue with the bed, sofa and stairs. It'll be fine in the long run, just never had 2 together, which I guess can be harder
