How to properly introduce Bacon to another dog.
I have a question for everyone. With Bacon being removed from puppy class, I need to socialize him with other dogs I know now. I would like to take him to play with my cousin's adult lab, but wanted to know what the best way to do it is. Should I take Bacon to the Lab's home, bring the Lab to my home? I know that I should pick up toys, food bowls, etc... but what other precautions should I take.
Ideally I would like to take them to a park, but there is no fenced in place I can take them near where I live and since Bacon is not well mannered I don't want him off lead yet.

Walk them together on lead, I wouldn't advise meeting at either houses, although when I took Moo to meet a friends staff for the first time they where best mates from the start lol

I'd recommend taking them out for an on lead walk together on neutral territory before taking one to the other one's house although it's not so much of an issue if the Lab is coming to you as young pups don't tend to be territorial. The Lab however is more likely to take kindly to the pup if the first meeting isn't on his own territory.

I agree with Janey. Walking with other dogs is a good way to socialise and play should be somewhere neutral

Agree with all above you would ideally want to meet up on neutral ground in a park preferably. Keep them on the leads or training leads to begin with, be careful of tangled leads though as this can cause friction.

Re: How to properly introduce Bacon to another dog.
Great ideas, don't know why I didn't think of the walk part first.
After a few days of walking together, would a house session be ok? Or should i just stick with the walks for awhile?
Thanks,
Thiago

Agree on neutral place as well to avoid terratorial issues. For the first walk have the handlers in the middle with the dogs on opposite sides and slowly bring them together.
