Hello
Hello everyone,
We are new members to the niceboard.
Living in Australia with our male stafford ' Indy ', we have noticed in the last couple of weeks he has a lump on the top/back part of his head , feels like bone in the centre between his ears . He doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
Is there any common reason for this ?
Cheers

Re: Hello
Hi and welcome to us and Suki. Hard to say anything about the bump without being able to see it. Perhaps phone the vet and see what they say.

Re: Hello
Is it a lump that shows through the fur, or does it feel like it's part of the skull? What sort of size/shape is it?

Hi there , it kind of feel like its part of his skull he's still under 2 years so thought it might be a part of his growing . It doesn't seem to bother him when i touch it or pat his head. You can barely notice it just by looking really only by touch. It sits right between his ears on the back part of his head.
I will call the vet monday. Just wondered if anyone else has come across this.
Thanks so much for the reply

Re: Hello
Hi Denise ,
Thanks very much for that , it's a relief to know it's normal. I thought it might have something to do with his head growing and maturing.
Wow 5 staffs ! I think I'd like a mate for Indy one day. They are just so lovely aren't they.

It sounds very much like just the shape of his skull. They do seem to have a slightly sticky-out bit of skull just behind the ears at the back of the head. I'm pretty sure my Bandit did.
