does anybody else wonder?
i was just wondering does anyone else get concerned by the lack of dog walkers you bump into on rainy days? it's came to my attention allot lately with this lovely wet British summer we're experiencing that when me and buster go for are walks which are generally at the same times every week we see the same people and their dogs but not when it's raining. i just hope they all still getting exercise during our apparent monsoon season.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
got to admit the walks are not always so long when its raining or we change our times to try and slip in in between downpours. However as I am the evil father my daughter walks the kids at the same time whatever the weather, dads the boss.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
yup, wondered just the same thing the other day, Where Is Everyone. The park was virtually empty, but we were there because we are hard core dog walkers.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
lol! did have fun reading the thread on here about dogs that don't like rain and puddles the other week, buster is totally unfazed by it. we actually enjoy our walks in the rain more sometimes because it's quieter it's nice to take the opportunity to let buster off the lead for a good run.

Well seasoned dog walker me... I still walk my boys, before and after work....work being... a dog walker So i'm well equipped with water proofs and towels. I have noticed a serious decline over the last few months, most people are putting their walks off till they have to go out!!

Re: does anybody else wonder?
guess it can't be helped if it's your dog not wanting to go out in it.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
Yep, they're all fine weather walkers.
There are a few of us who always go, sun rain & snow. Whenever we see each other on the bad days one of us will always shout out "Just us mad'uns again!"

I don't care if Moo doesn't like it anymore, I have 2 days off a week and sure as hell I'm not going to be stuck indoors, she's getting used to it, she has too!

Re: does anybody else wonder?
We just have to go and splash in the puddles anyway, that's what they are for.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
ah, we may not do rain, but we DO do snow. it snows for about 5 months of the year here, so.... no choice there. It can drop to -25 to maybe -30 on a very cold winter here where i live at night and we have 'the darkness' where we only have a few hours of sunlight... me and Romeo have been walking in -27 in the snow before. At some point his toes get too cold and thats when we have to come back because he refusing to wear shoes!
Re: does anybody else wonder?
I actually prefer walks in the rain with my two. Millie isn't always great with other dogs. Sometimes she can be ok but mostly she barks and pulls towards them. Since Bella has gotten bigger, as soon as Millie starts that, she grabs Millie's lead and pulls at it. I end up looking like a numpty trying to stop Millie and get Bella to let go. Rain walks are so much more peaceful because no-one is around

We just use a rain coat for Suki. The rain doesn't really bother me

Re: does anybody else wonder?
buster doesn't like raincoats, although i think they are a good idea. we seen a poodle in rain yesterday an it had a raincoat that covered all of it except for it's face, one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Re: does anybody else wonder?
It just takes them some time to get used to. Really helps when you get home so you don't have a wet dog running around everywhere

Re: does anybody else wonder?
I got back from the park a while ago and it was virtually empty although it wasn't raining this morning but had been earlier. Again I wondered were everyone was.
