one cheeky monkey
Ok so today I had one of them moments when our lovely furry babies first scare the life out of you then make you laugh out loud....!!!
Where i walk my two girls is a wild field it is quite inclosed but the its extremely over grown, the grass comes up too my hips and its very dense.
But as Ava my 5mnth old mainly follows skye i,ve never really had a worry about her she doesn,t run off and her recall is very good, but skye is a bugger for chasing foxes >
So today off skye runs into thick dense bambles after a fox and of course Ava follows
Skye came back after 20mins but no ava, after about and hour i was at my wits end there is no roads near by but i really did fear she was lost or stuck in the bramble
I was close too tears and went too sit down on some decking i would not leave until i found her
This was the sight that greeted me

Heartstopping moments of blood-run-cold panic! Had one last week - short dog in long grass! But just look at that little face

Re: one cheeky monkey
phew !!! great pics though
One of my worst moments when Tilly was only a few months old we were saying goodbye to friends on a Sunday and hadn't noticed Tilly had snook out the door. Door was closed behind us and 30 mins later sitting in the front room and shouted Tilly , no response , again and again no response (we thought she was sleeping upstairs when we were at the door) went upstairs she wasn't there and the penny dropped , my heart sank and I raced downstairs , first sight I saw was Tilly sitting on the front lawn waiting for us to let her back in with a sad "what did you do that for face" on her

Re: one cheeky monkey
we lost our old BC cross once when out walking , I took my eyes off him for 1 minute as he was off lead and my daughter was only 5 at the time and we couldn't see him anywhere , there was a small feeder to the local canal right next to us and dissappeared into a long concrete tunnel (about 50M) and I was convinced he'd gone in there and feared the worst. Got the OH to come down and take my daughter so I could go off and get a big torch etc to have a look (after we'd done a major search of the area) and really got stressed about it , alerted all the people that live close by and enlisted other dog walkers in the area arming them all with my mobile number. After 4 hours I got a call (just before it got dark) from people that live close by, a local farmer was seen leaving the farm with him on a lead by them, the little bugger had decide enough walking and had snook off whilst my back was turned and gone up on to the farm for a snooze in the outbuildings where the farmer had discovered him , god were we so pleased to see him

They really do put us through it sometimes don't they. I bet you were very pleased to see him though.

I swear my OH was in tears to see him again , I was the bad guy that had lost him. It was partly down to my OH love of him that she refused point blank to get another BC when we had to get him PTS and based on my knowledge of my cousins Staffy we went out and came back with Tillie
