any one know?
just had to make appointment for sash to go vets to morrow ,last year she broke a tooth whilst chomping on wood,we took her to the vets at the time and he said it was a clean break and it should be fine, any ways yesterday i noticed she had smelly breath so took a look in her mouth and the offending tooth looks inflamed and sore .she is eating ok and does'nt seem to be in pain but im worried cos i know they have a high tolerance to pain and id hate her to be in pain.does any one know if i can give her half an asprin or other pain killers??what symptoms would she have if it was bothering her?

Re: any one know?
I wouldn't give any medication. Book her into the vets, the tooth will have to come out. As you say staffs have a high threshold so would only stop eating if it was VERY sore. Iff it looks sore to you though something obv isnt right, but i do know vets hate to take out teeth so anti-bs might clear up an infection!

Re: any one know?
nah the tooth itself isnt painful, just the sharp edges of it are rubbing my tongue into blisters
yeah, it happened at the worst time, i had to take kittens to the vet for flea and worm which cost me £20

You can give half an aspirin, but not paracetamol!
Be warned, though, aspirin can sometimes give them a dodgy tum.
