New Bed
Hey Guys, Hope you your dogs are all well
Id like to get Lola a new bed.. She has a fabric one at the moment but her hairs just embed itself & even after a good hoover, wash & lint roll the hairs dont all come away.. Ive seen some leather beds?
Does anyone have them & what do your dogs think, Im concerned that she'll get to hot & sweaty
Thanks

Re: New Bed
Mine doesn't have a bed, she just uses mine or the sofa so I can't really help, when she did have a bed she pulled all the stuffing out! Leather looks smart though

Re: New Bed
You could chuck a blanket over it to stop it getting too hot / cold. That's what we do, although Mia's never quite taken to any of the beds we've bought her since we got rid of the tatty old beanbag she loved.

Re: New Bed
We have this bed for Rocky (well not exactly this one its slightly different in style) and his hairs are not a problem with it. Have you tried giving Lola a good brush, we found this worked with reducing the amount of loose hair in our home:

Re: New Bed
I was thinking a bean bag..
Lolas content on the beds & sofas too..She doesnt bother to get up & greet guests when shes on the sofa, I think in fear of losing her spot! lol Although sometimes its not ideal as we havnt huge sofas & shes a 'I want to be on you' type of dog plus need somewhere to send her if shes naughty

Re: New Bed
hi kathy,
That bed looks smart & i think were its fleecy the hairs should come away easy enough..
She loves a brush & when were out walking her we give her a good rub down too.. I dont know where shes getting her hairs from!! I think its more noticeable as we have black sofas & shes a white dog..

Re: New Bed
I personally don't like the idea of leather beds, purely because I don't find leather sofas as comfy as fabric ones.
I just buy cheap single duvets, fold to size then fashion a pillow case type cover with the sewing machine, the dogs love them and they're easy to bung in the wash I find if I use a cotton fabric the hair comes off no problem
